Musica Maestro! | Modena, 2022
The MUSICA MAESTRO 2022 festival aimed to bring high-profile artistic entertainment and leisure events to the region by networking with local organisations and individuals in order to enrich the cultural, musical and food and wine scene in the region.
The festival is divided into different sections to meet a variety of needs and expectations.
The series entitled Opera Notes – Music Explained, Played and Sung (free admission) featured meetings with renowned personalities such as Corrado Augias and Maestro Giovanni Bietti, who presented a sort of guide to listening to and understanding some of the most famous Italian operas, with live musical performances.
The workshops promoted by the Bologna-based Orchestra Senzaspine revealed to the participating public the secrets of conducting and singing, inviting the audience to try their hand and test themselves after listening to the orchestra at work.
During the Giovani Frequenze (Young Frequencies) meetings (free admission), the young RadioImmaginaria speakers moderated interviews with distinguished personalities of our time, such as Fabio Fazio and the President of the Emilia-Romagna Region, Stefano Bonaccini. Discussing current issues, prospects, dreams and hopes, the young people asked the guests many questions that animate the younger generations.
During the AperINcanto evenings, themed concerts were combined with aperitif tastings curated by a big name in Modena’s restaurant scene, internationally acclaimed chef Luca Marchini.
The musical aperitifs were an initiative that perfectly combined the region’s two areas of excellence: music and food.
The Buongiorno at Casa Pavarotti events are back, confirming the popularity of previous editions. These events are eagerly awaited not only by opera lovers but also by families with children and young people looking for a different way to spend their Sunday. Each event included an outdoor breakfast, a live concert performed by young opera singers accompanied by piano, a guided tour of the Home Museum and a final aperitif with typical Modena products.
This prestigious programme was staged in the grounds of the Home Museum thanks to the valuable collaboration of BPER Banca.
The festival also enjoyed the support of institutional entities and private individuals who decided to join forces and walk alongside the Pavarotti Foundation in promoting an initiative aimed at supporting the value of culture and excellence in the region. We would therefore like to thank the following for their support: the Emilia-Romagna Region, the Municipality of Modena, Radio Bruno (media partner) and the Duse Theatre.
